Valiants secure loan signing of Pakistan international midfielder

Port Vale have completed the loan signing of Tranmere midfielder Adnan Ahmed. The Pakistan international will stay at Vale Park for a month and has gone straight into manager Dean Glover's squad for Saturday's trip to Morecambe. The League One side had seemingly put an end to any possible deal after declaring they would only accept a move if the stay was for three months. But it now appears that Tranmere have had a change of heart after the 24-year-old met his new team-mates on Thursday. Ahmed has made six appearances for Tranmere in the league this term and has had spells with Huddersfield and more recently with Blue Square Premier side Mansfield where he spent a period on loan earlier in the season. The Valiants are currently 16th in League Two, 13 points off the play-offs.
