Port Vale have cancelled the contract of striker Luke Rodgers by mutual agreement.
Rodgers had spent two years at Vale after joining the League Two club from local rivals Crewe Alexandra.
He scored 20 goals in 66 appearances for Vale, but has been allowed to leave the club by manager Dean Glover.
The 27-year-old has recently completed a loan spell at Yeovil Town where he netted twice in six appearances.
Rodgers told The Sentinel: "This is the best outcome for me."
