Defender seeking answers to injury problems

Derby defender Andy Todd is to visit a spinal specialist in a bid to solve his back and hamstring problems. The former Blackburn player has not played since the 6-0 defeat to Liverpool at the start of December. He has been able to train but the problems have persisted, and manager Billy Davies is hoping an expert opinion can provide some answers. "Andy has been training but he still feels uncomfortable so we won't be playing him unless everything is right," Davies told the club's official website. "We've had a number of people up to take a look at him but the problem hasn't been solved so we thought it would be best for Andy to see a spinal specialist."
