Port Vale captain Sam Collins has penned a new deal with the club.

Collins has handed a boost to the Potteries outfit by agreeing a two-year contract.

"I am excited that a player like Sam has put pen to paper and shown everyone how committed he is to the club," said Vale boss Martin Foyle.

The Valiants will be delighted to have tied Collins down, having already lost Marc Bridge-Wilkinson to Stockport County this week.
