Macclesfield Town are set to retain Rob Jones on loan for another month after Stockport County agreed to extend his stay by four weeks.

Jones only made one appearance during his first month, after sustaining a knee injury on his debut in the 2-2 draw against Hull City.

The former Gateshead defender has recovered from the cartilage tear against The Tigers, and could make his return against Swansea in The FA Cup.

The Silkmen have also come to agreement with Port Vale for goalkeeper Dean Delaney, which also keeps him at Moss Rose until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Stockport could be letting another player depart the club with high-flying Oxford United holding talks with striker Jon Daly.

The 19-year-old Dublin-born ace has made eight league starts for The Hatters this term, but is yet to find the net in 15 overall appearances.
