Gillingham boss Peter Taylor has revealed his delight at securing the one-month loan signing of Michael Doughty from QPR.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the club on Friday morning and made his debut the following day at home to Crawley, which ended 1-1. Doughty has previous League One experience after making 40 appearances in all competitions for Stevenage on loan last season. "He's a good footballer," said Taylor, speaking to the official club website. "We've started it off with a month, Michael can see if he likes us and whether we like him. He has experience, he knows the game and I'm really pleased he's come on board. "I thought he did well Saturday, he showed he can see a pass - he's a young boy looking to push on and is a very serious professional who wants to do well."
