Stanley capture Linganzi

Accrington have completed the signing of former Blackburn midfielder Amine Linganzi following a successful trial period.

The 23-year-old joined Rovers from St Etienne in 2010 but only made four appearances during an injury-ravaged spell before being released in January. "It was an easy decision for me to come here because I didn't play a lot of games at Blackburn and I had a lot of injuries for about a year-and-a-half to two years," said Linganzi, who also played once during a loan spell with Preston two years ago. "Now I just need to be focussed, keep my head down and play regular football. There is a big difference between League Two and the Premier League but it doesn't matter to me. I need to play and enjoy my life and enjoy my job. "The first day I was here I felt like I'd been playing with them for a long time. I was really happy to be here and I spoke to the manager and he was happy to speak to me. "The players were great with me and I'm really happy to be involved with the team." Linganzi has agreed a deal until the end of the season and is available to make his Stanley debut against Cheltenham on Saturday, although boss Leam Richardson suggested the player is short of match fitness. He said: "It's great to have Amine in. He's a great prospect and has a good pedigree. "He adds presence and great quality so the sooner we can get him up and running and up to match fitness the better for the team and the squad."
