Youngsters handed new contracts

Gillingham teenage pair Bradley Dack and Callum Davies have been awarded new three-year contracts at Priestfield Stadium.

The duo have impressed Gills boss Martin Allen since his arrival at the club in July and have been handed lengthy deals. Dack, 18, netted his first senior goal for the Gills against Crawley in the 3-2 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat on Tuesday night, while Davies started in the 2-1 win at Dagenham last month. Allen told Kent Messenger: "I instigated the move by recommending we get them signed and sealed. "They play in the spine of the team down the middle, are both great lads, work hard and have got great ability. "It was quite obvious in my first 10 days at the club, there was something special about the pair of them. They can get much better, but I like their attitude and the way they go about their business."
