Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler intends to delve into the transfer market to arrest his side's slump in form.
The Gills have fallen out of the League Two play-off spots following back-to-back league defeats against Shrewsbury and AFC Wimbledon, leaving Hessenthaler desperate for new recruits.
He told Gillingham's official website: "The chairman will back me on that because he won't have that (the performance against AFC Wimbledon), even if it's just some loanees.
"I can't have that week in, week out. It just isn't right."
Hessenthaler was furious with the manner of the Gills' 4-3 defeat to the Dons and hinted that some players could depart Priestfield.
"That depends on how much time we have," he added. "We've got to make some decisions but I can't accept it whether they like it or not. I can't have that like it was Saturday and last week, it's not acceptable."
