Gillingham's Danny Kedwell faces a spell on the sidelines after he suffered a broken rib in the FA Cup clash with Stoke.
The former AFC Wimbledon striker opened the scoring in the defeat to Stoke before coming off midway through the second half following a collision with Jonathan Woodgate.
Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler told the club's official website: "It's definitely broken, which is a real shame for us and for Danny.
"We don't know how long he's going to be out of action for yet."
The injury to their leading marksman - who has scored 11 goals in all competitions - comes at a bad time for Gillingham as loanee Jo Kuffour recently returned to parent club Bristol Rovers.
