Jackett to take care with striker's fitness

Millwall striker John Marquis is set to undergo a hernia operation during the October international break. Marquis is still struggling with a hernia problem and the club have decided to send him under the knife. The highly-rated youngster will continue to figure for the Lions in the meantime, but manager Kenny Jackett is aware he will need to manage the player carefully. "John Marquis needs a hernia operation at some stage but it will probably coincide with the international break," Jackett told the News Shopper. "I'll have to see and use him sparingly in the meantime. "He is still in the squad but it is something I have to address."
