Andy Hessenthaler expects trio Adebayo Akinfenwa, Andy Barcham and Chris Palmer to leave Gillingham this summer.
All three out-of-contract players have been offered new deals at Priestfield but Hessenthaler revealed Barcham looks set to land a deal with a League One club after rejecting terms with the Kent outfit. Fellow striker Akinfenwa and midfielder Palmer are also set to move on, according to the Gills boss.
Hessenthaler told the club's official website: "We are obviously disappointed but you can understand Andy's point of view. He wants to play at the highest level that he can and with us not getting promoted this season, it didn't help our chances of keeping him."
Speaking about Akinfenwa's future, Hessenthaler added: "I think the chairman has been talking to his representatives but we haven't had a concrete decision on Bayo yet. We'd love him to stay but I think it's unlikely that he will.
"Again with Chris, it is looking likely that he will move on. We've made him an offer but I don't think he has accepted it. I think he is looking to go back up to the Midlands, where he comes from and where his wife is living, so I don't think Chris will be taking up our offer."
Hessenthaler is more hopeful Joe Martin will sign a new deal and the former Barnet boss is waiting to learn whether fellow midfielder Kevin Maher will commit his future to the club.
