Winger pens contract extension

Myles Weston has penned a contract extension at Brentford tying him to the club until the summer of 2013. The 22-year-old joined the Bees from Notts County last year and has made almost 70 appearances for the club since then. He is regarded as an important part of the club's future and has seen his impressive progress at Griffin Park rewarded with a new deal. Brentford boss Andy Scott told the club's official website: "Myles has done very well since joining us last season and it has always been my intention to keep our best players at the club. "He has demonstrated during his time here that he is capable of playing at the highest level and I know that he will continue his development whilst at Brentford." Weston has also expressed his delight at agreeing fresh terms, adding: "I'm really pleased to have been offered this extended contract and I had no hesitation in signing. "I believe that my ambition of playing football at a higher level can be achieved here at Brentford, which is why I was pleased to sign for Brentford in the first place and continue the next stage of my career here."
