Gillingham look set to welcome back top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa after the striker missed out on the trip to Port Vale on Saturday.
The former Swansea striker sat out the goalless draw with the then league leaders having struggled with a groin injury for the past few weeks.
However, having rested the complaint, the 28-year-old is set to return to League Two action against Torquay this weekend.
"It has been annoying me for a couple of weeks now, so I had to sit out of the trip to Port Vale in order to rest it and get it right," Akinfenwa told skysports.com.
"It is coming along nicely now though, so it was a good decision to miss that game and I'm hoping to be back for Saturday.
"I have carried it through two games now and when I spoke to the physio about it we were concerned that it could turn into a hernia if I didn't rest it.
"I'd rather just miss one game than eventually miss three or four and it has settled down now, so hopefully I won't feel any recurrence when I resume training this week."
