Skysports.com understands Gillingham are poised to sign former Ajax youngster Stanley Aborah.
Aborah has done enough during a trial stint at the Priestfield to earn a deal from Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler.
The 23-year-old, who started his career at Anderlecht before joining Ajax in 2004, is available on a free transfer and he is hoping to kick-start his career in England.
The player's agent, Steve Davies, has confirmed Aborah is set to sign a short-term deal at the League Two club after snubbing offers from other clubs.
"Stanley is set to join Gillingham, initially on a month-to-month contract," Davies told skysports.com.
"We are happy to do that despite having other offers as he is feels it is the right club for him with a good manager.
"He has done well there while he has been training with them and they are keen to keep him."
