McCammon joins on loan from Gills and Grant signs on non-contract

Bradford City have completed the loan signing of Mark McCammon from Gillingham and have brought in Gavin Grant on a non-contract basis. McCammon has started just three League One games for Gillingham this season and has spent the week mulling over a loan move. Rotherham United had expressed an interest in signing the striker, but McCammon has opted for an initial month-long stint at Valley Parade. New Bantams boss Peter Taylor told the Telegraph & Argus: "I've known Mark and looked at his career and he's played in the Championship. "I've never worked with him before, but very nearly signed him on a few occasions. "He's out of the team at Gillingham so he's got a point to prove. Hopefully it will be good for both of us." Taylor has also snapped up former Wycombe frontman Grant and both new signings will go into the squad for Saturday's game at home to Darlington. Meanwhile, a group of Bradford fans have raised £5,000 to help the club pay for James Hanson's transfer fee. A Football League tribunal decided that the League Two side must pay Guiseley FC £7,500 for Hanson.
