Gillingham have made one final attempt to persuade star winger Matt Jarvis to remain at Priestfield.Jarvis, 21 later this week, is out-of-contract in the summer and has thus far rejected all offers of a new deal.
Gills chairman Paul Scally has been left far from happy with the situation, but he has made another bid to try and keep him.
"We've had a real good go at keeping him and we've made him a further improved offer," Scally told the Kent Messenger.
"There's always hope. We've done as much as we can do as a club and it's now up to Matt."
Jarvis turned down a £650,000 move to Nottingham Forest in March, opting to see out of the remaining three months of his contract at Gillingham.
