Gillingham have completed the signing of Wimbledon striker Patrick Agyemang.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at The Priestfield Stadium after the two clubs agreed a fee earlier this week.

"I heard that Gillingham put in a bid and that's how it happened - I'm really looking forward to it now," said Agyemang.

"I didn't really want to leave Wimbledon but I am getting used to the idea. All my friends are at Wimbledon and they are good friends, but I had to do it at some stage and I can't wait to get started now.

"I want to score as many goals as I can and maybe there's a chance of reaching the play-offs and then The Premiership - you never know.

"I would say that I am a quick, tricky player who likes to run with the ball. I like to play on the shoulder of the last defender because with my pace I believe that I can beat that player to the ball."

Agyemang has been brought in to replace Paul Shaw, who joined Sheffield United on Monday.
