Oliver makes Alex switch

Crewe have signed striker Vadaine Oliver from Lincoln on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The Sheffield-born forward, 21, will officially join up with his new team-mates on June 25 and becomes Alex boss Steve Davis' first signing of the summer. Oliver began life at Sheffield Wednesday as a youth player but, after securing a two-year professional contract, saw his early career blighted by injury. Following his release by the Owls he joined up with Lincoln last summer and went on to score 14 goals in 41 games during a season-long spell at Sincil Bank, prompting Davis to make his move.
