Crewe manager Steve Davis and defender David Artell have both been shortlisted for monthly League Two awards.
Artell is nominated for the Player of the Month prize whilst Davis will battle with Torquay's Martin Ling and Northampton's Aidy Boothroyd for the Manager of the Month gong after leading the Alex to four wins and three draws during an unbeaten March.
That run has put the Staffordshire outfit in with an outside chance of a play-off spot.
Much of that success has been down to the defensive solidity Crewe have instilled. Former Morecambe stalwart Artell was part of the side that kept three consecutive clean sheets last month during wins over Bradford, Hereford and league leaders Swindon.
In fact, Alex only conceded six goals in their seven league encounters in March, three of which came in a thrilling 4-3 victory against Gillingham.
Artell is up against Torquay's Lee Mansell and Dagenham's Mickey Spillane for the award, the winner of which is announced on Wednesday.
