Steve Davis has confirmed he will fine Steve Phillips after his goalkeeper was involved in another on-field bust-up with a Crewe team-mate.
Phillips was booked following an altercation with Alex captain David Artell during Saturday's 1-0 League One defeat to Southend, having been at the centre of a similar incident with defender Adam Dugdale in December's draw with Crawley.
The latest flashpoint occurred when Bilel Mohsni scored the only goal at Roots Hall, converting the rebound after Phillips did well to save Ryan Hall's initial free-kick.
"I will fine Steve for the incident because it has happened before," Davis told Crewe's official website. "He apologised at the time and said it wouldn't happen again and it has.
"It was not acceptable behaviour and they know that. To be fair, both players apologised in the dressing room and Dave defused the situation by walking away and not reacting.
"Steve doesn't like conceding goals and he does have a quick temper, and that is something he can improve on. If things need to be said then it should be dealt with inside the dressing room and not out on the pitch in front of the supporters. With all his experience Steve should know better and the matter has been dealt with."
