Crewe Alexandra manager Dario Gradi has warned midfielder Lee Bell that he faces a fight to regain his first-team place.
The 28-year-old returned from his calf injury as a late substitute in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Southend, but the Alex boss has admitted he is not guaranteed an immediate return.
"Lee is back and it is good to have him back because he is good to have around the place and amongst the young players," Gradi told the club's official website.
"I am not sure if he will start on Saturday [at AFC Wimbledon], because I may start with the same midfield as I did against Southend.
"I don't want to make too many changes if I don't need too.
"Lee will be there and available and it will be good to have him available because he gives us another option. We will take him and as it is early in the week. I still have an open mind on who will play."
