Crewe's Dario Gradi will use money coming into the club to bolster his squad if Bryon Moore and Clayton Donaldson leave.
Crewe boss Dario Gradi will use any money that comes into the club to bolster his squad if Bryon Moore and Clayton Donaldson move on.
But Gradi admits he cannot invest yet as Moore and particularly star striker Donaldson have refused to rule out staying on at the Alexandra Stadium.
Gradi told Crewe's official website: "If we take some money in then we will spend it on reinforcements.
"Although Clayton has told us that he is unlikely to return with us, he has not totally ruled us out. It has not been a definite no, so we still don't know.
"Perhaps it would be better for us, if Clayton and Bryon did come back and said they were going elsewhere because we would know where we stood.
"I don't want to go out and sign another two strikers and have Bryon and Clayton turn around and say they are staying, so I would have four strikers and the others we have here."
