Fogler set for Crewe stay

Polish keeper Bartek Fogler is expected to sign a deal to stay at Crewe until the end of the season.

Keeper wants to become first choice at Gresty Road

Polish goalkeeper Bartek Fogler is expected to sign a contract to stay at Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season. Fogler initially linked up with Dario Gradi's side in the summer, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the League Two club. His current deal expires at the start of January, but he is hoping to grasp the opportunity to prove he deserves a long-term contract at Gresty Road. "When I first came from Poland I signed from month to month, but that is not good in the long term because you don't know about your future," the 25-year-old told The Sentinel. "But we are talking about longer terms now "I've improved in training and I'm trying to show Dario I deserve my chance. "There is a second choice and third choice in every team, but I want to show I can be first choice at Crewe. "I am happy to be here and feel more confident now that I'm staying longer. I'm waiting for my chance. "While Rhys Taylor is first choice, I am hoping that Dario will give me an opportunity to play."
