Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Steve Phillips is closing in on a return for the Railwaymen after a hip injury.
The 32-year-old underwent double shoulder surgery at the end of last season.
He then suffered a hip problem on his return to full training and has yet to make a first-team appearance this campaign.
"Steve is making good progress in his recovery," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the club's official website.
"He is working hard and we are hoping he will make some really positive inroads next week."
