Defender rejects chance to move to Crewe

Aaron Webster has rejected the chance to join Crewe Alexandra in order to sign a new contract at Burton Albion. The left-back was out of contract at the Pirelli Stadium and had been offered the chance to link up with Burton's League Two rivals. However, while Webster was tempted by the chance to move to Crewe, he is delighted to have signed a new one-year deal with the Brewers. "I am just chuffed that everything is sorted now," Webster told the club's official website. "It has been a difficult few days for me because Crewe are a big club with a good history for bringing players through and that made me pay some very serious attention to what they were saying," Burton boss Paul Peschisolido added: "I am delighted to keep Aaron at the club. At no stage did he want to leave us."
