Kenny Lunt concedes he could be tempted to leave Crewe Alexandra to stay in The Championship.

The 26-year-old midfielder is out of contract shortly and has been offered a new deal at Gresty Road.

But, following Crewe's relegation to League One, Lunt is unsure whether to remain with his only club next season.

Wolves are leading the chase for his signature, while the likes of Southampton, Crystal Palace and Leicester City have all been linked with a bid.

Lunt is likely to make a decision during the next fortnight and admits it would be hard to spurn the chance to stay in The Championship.

"I am not sure what I am doing yet," Lunt told the club's official website.

"My agent has spoken to a few clubs and I will take a couple of weeks to think about my options.

"Looking at it, a club in The Championship would certainly interest me. It is where I wanted to be playing with Crewe if we had managed to stay up, but that wasn't to be."

Lunt has made over 400 appearances for The Railwaymen and was captain as the club lost their battle for Championship survival.
