Lloyd has signed a one-year contract to stay at Gresty Road, following the lead of fellow youngster Ritchie Sutton.
The 19-year-old has yet to make his debut for Crewe, but manager Dario Gradi feels Lloyd could make an impact next term.
With Crewe dropping down into League One, Lloyd could be afforded the opportunity to prove he can make it in the professional game.
His only previous first-team experience was during a loan spell at Witton Albion, although he was close to figuring as a substitute for Crewe earlier this year.
