Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi has confirmed he has offered new deals to ten of his soon to be out-of-contract players, with another eight being released from Gresty Road.
After suffering relegation Crewe are looking to reshape their squad and Gradi has now offered new deals to captain Kenny Lunt and defender Stephen Foster, although the duo may pursue a career in The Championship.
On-loan strikers Gareth Taylor, of Nottingham Forest, and Eddie Johnson, of Manchester United, have also both been tabled deals as they are likely to be available in the summer.
The other players in line for a new contract are Ben Williams, Chris McCready, Paul Bignot, Robert Lloyd, Ritchie Sutton and Tony Grant.
However Gradi has also had to wield the axe and Anthony Tonkin, Adie Moses, Justin Cochrane, Steve Jones, Richard Walker, Alex Morris, Kyle Wilson and Andrew Bond will all be free to pursue alternative employment.
Jones for one is already attracting interest from Burnley after rejecting Crewe, whilst the other seven to be released will also be hoping to find a new club before next season.
