O'Callaghan has been offered an opportunity by Crewe and has spent the past week training under the beady eye of Dario Gradi.
The 23-year-old featured for The Railwaymen's reserve team in a 5-0 victory over Burton Albion last week.
He has also been included in the team for a friendly on Monday evening against Barnton and will hope to produce another impressive performance.
