Portsmouth have completed the signing of defender Paul Robinson on an 18-month deal.

The 33-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan from Millwall but became a free agent on Tuesday after his contract with the Lions expired. "I'm looking forward to putting down some roots here and being part of something special with this club as we go from strength to strength," Robinson told the official club website. "We've got a good squad of players and have moved into the new training ground, but now we're looking for consistent results to fire us up the table." Pompey boss Andy Awford added: "We're delighted that Paul became a free agent and we were able to offer him a deal to stay with us. "I'm looking forward to continuing the great relationship that we have built with him over the last few months."
