Millwall defender Sid Nelson has been ruled out for up to two months with a foot injury.

The Lions youngster will not require an operation on the problem, which he sustained against Billericay last week.

Millwall physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website: "Sid saw a specialist and will remain in a protective boot for the meantime.

"The better news for Sid is that the fracture is not a full metatarsal fracture, so there will be no operation required.

"Realistically we are pencilling in a return to action within two months. However, he will need to be re-assessed and re-scanned on a regular basis to monitor his progress and recovery."

The 18-year-old academy prospect is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, having signed a professional deal at The Den in August.
