Sky Sports understands a number of English clubs are tracking Cameroon international Eric Matoukou.

Matoukou is available on a free transfer after leaving Ukrainian club Dnipro and he is thought to be keen on a move to England.

The 31-year-old came to the fore at Belgian side Genk, spending seven seasons there before joining Dnipro in 2011.

Matoukou, who can play at centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, has enjoyed spells out on loan at Arsenal Kyiv and Volyn Lutsk during the last two seasons and he is looking to fix himself up with a new club on a permanent basis.
