Millwall have completed the permanent signing of right-back Justin Hoyte from Middlesbrough.

The 29-year-old initially joined the Lions on loan on November 5 and has since started four Championship games for the London club as well as making one appearance from the substitutes' bench.

Hoyte was due to return to The Riverside this month but he has now signed a contract with Millwall which ties him to the club until the end of next season.

Middlesbrough signed Hoyte from Arsenal, where he started his career as a trainee, for £3m in August 2008.

The Trinidad & Tobago international went on to make 162 appearances for Boro and scored two goals.
