Southend have re-signed defender Tamika Mkandawire on a one-month loan deal from Millwall.
The 29-year-old spent two months with the Shrimpers earlier in the season and made 12 appearances for the club between November 6 and January 1.
Southend manager Paul Sturrock told the club's official website: "It's great to have Tamika back and he will be available for seven League Two matches and of course the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
"I think we've missed him since he returned to Millwall so to have him back is fantastic."
Mkandawire, who has not featured for Millwall since returning to The Den, added: "I really enjoyed my initial spell here for two months and it's great to be back.
"I know all of the lads and have kept in touch with them since I went back to Millwall so it should be easy for me to settle back in.
"Hopefully I can play a big part, help the team back into the play-offs and play a part at Wembley in the final."
