Shane Lowry is to remain with Championship outfit Millwall until the end of January, with his loan deal from Aston Villa having been extended.
The Australian linked up with the Lions in November, agreeing a deal that was due to expire on 3rd January.
Millwall have been impressed by his level of performance during his time in the capital and have moved quickly to keep him at the club.
Villa are happy for Lowry to remain in the Championship, as he is some way down the pecking order under Alex McLeish.
Lowry's contract at Villa is due to expire at the end of the season, so he will be looking to impress McLeish and any potential suitors.
His latest deal with Millwall means he will be eligible for their FA Cup third round clash against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
