Striker's loan deal with Hull ends early due to his hamstring injury

Leicester striker Martyn Waghorn has returned to the King Power Stadium after picking up a hamstring injury during his loan spell at Hull City The former Sunderland player joined caretaker manager Nick Barmby's squad on August 31 in a deal which was set to finish at the end of December. Waghorn sustained the injury several weeks ago and Foxes assistant manager Craig Shakespeare admits that it would have probably kept him on the sidelines until the end of his loan deal anyway. "He has been brought back for assessment and he is going to get some treatment here because it was a lot more serious than first thought and it wasn't really repairing," said Shakespeare. "We have had him scanned and we will treat him on a week-to-week basis here. He probably won't be fit before the loan finishes anyway."
