Millwall striker John Marquis insists this year is an important one for him after breaking into the first team at the end of last season.
The 19-year-old burst onto the scene with three goals in five appearances as the Lions pushed for a play-off place in the closing stages of 2010/11.
Marquis has continued to impress this season after netting in the opening day 2-2 draw at Reading and he told skysports.com he is determined to play as many games as possible for the Lions this year.
He said: "It is a very big season for me because I managed to play a fair few games towards the back end of last season and featured at the start of this one as well.
"I know that it is going to be a big year for me, but hopefully I can feature in as many games as I can and score a few goals to help the team progress and push on towards the Premier League.
"The manager likes to change his formations and tactics at times, but when he opts for two up front then there is a big challenge for those two places.
"There are three or four competing for those slots and all of the forwards here know that it is a team effort.
"Obviously, all of us want to be playing regularly and scoring goals, but as long as one or two of us are doing that then it bodes well for the team's success, which is what matters at the end of the day."
