Striker happy to score first goal for the club

Jermaine Easter remains hopeful of securing a permanent move to Swansea City after scoring his first goal for the club. The striker recently joined on loan from MK Dons and marked his maiden start for Swansea by scoring the only goal in Tuesday's win over Barnsley. Easter is keen to be given more opportunities and the Wales international wants to stay at the Liberty Stadium permanently when his loan deal expires at the end of January. "I told the manager from day one that I'd like to be a Swansea player permanently," the 28-year-old told the club's official website. "Hopefully today helped the case and hopefully I can go on and start a few more games and show what else I can do." Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers praised Easter's goal against Barnsley and has been pleased by the forward's impact at the club. Rodgers said: "It was a terrific finish from Jermaine and nice to see him getting a goal. "Jermaine is a good guy and wants to do well for this club. He has settled in well and he's very professional. He has a bit of pedigree and hopefully he will get a few more goals for us."
