Millwall man hopes to secure loan switch

Port Vale are considering a loan move for former midfielder Dave Brammer. The experienced 33-year-old is now with League One outfit Millwall and will rejoin the Valiants for training next week with a view to securing a loan deal. Brammer joined Millwall in January 2007 but has been out of favour with manager Kenny Jackett this season. The ex-Stoke man has also been training with former clubs Wrexham and Crewe recently in a bid to earn a switch elsewhere. "Dave Brammer is coming to train with us next week," Vale's chief scout Ray Williams told the Sentinel. "He has spoken to myself and to Dean Glover and he is really looking forward to playing football again for Port Vale." Brammer initially joined Vale in March 1999 and made 85 appearances for the club, scoring four goals, before joining Crewe in the summer of 2001 in a £500,000 deal.
