Millwall appear to have won the race for Hearts winger Chris Hackett.

Hearts boss Valdas Ivanauskas informed the 23-year-old that he could leave Tynecastle this summer and this prompted a number of clubs to express interest.

Carlisle United had been credited with an interest in the former Oxford man, but he seems poised to wrap up a move to The Den.

A statement on Millwall's website stated that a deal should be sealed in the near future, 'pending the completion of formalities.'

The speedy midfielder joined Hearts in January from Oxford, but failed to make an impact in the Scottish capital and will look to kick-start his career in London.

Gary Tierney is another player on his way out of Hearts, with the midfielder signing a deal with Airdrie United.
