Millwall striker Berry Powel could be about to make the switch north of the border and join Hibernian.
The Dutchman has been told he is surplus to requirements at The Den following the club's relegation to League One and was being tipped to return to his homeland.
However, SPL side Hibernian are reportedly targeting the 26-year-old to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Powel will travel to Scotland this week to discuss the possibility of a switch to Easter Road.
"They know me very well, I understand they have followed me during my time at FC Den Bosch," Powel told Dutch paper Algemeen Dagblad.
"I will travel to Scotland soon and will see if I get a good feeling with Hibernian.
"Personally, I don't know much about Scotland or Scottish football.
"However, it's clear that they are seriously interested."
