Millwall are holding talks with Le Havre's Jonathan Jager.
The 27-year-old forward attended a trial earlier this month and impressed The Lions' management.
Now the club have opened talks over a possible deal.
The club have also handed a trial to Icelandic striker Gardar Johansson.
The 25-year-old is currently with KR Reykjavik and has bagged 22 goals for his club this season.
One of the reasons that Millwall have room for an extra addition is because Sammy Igoe has completed his move to Bristol Rovers on an initial loan.
"I've been playing in the reserves and have been very unhappy to be honest," said Igoe.
"It's been horrible and soul destroying. I needed to get away from Millwall.
"When I heard of the interest from Bristol Rovers, I jumped at the chance."
