Millwall midfielder Jody Morris has been charged by the Football Association with using foul language towards a match official.

The charge against the former Chelsea and Leeds United man relates to his actions following his second yellow card in Saturday's goalless home draw with Cardiff City.

The 26-year-old is alleged to have verbally abused referee Andy D'Urso after receiving his marching orders in the dying stages of the match at The Den.

Lions boss Colin Lee says the club will decide if they want to appeal against the FA charge.

"Jody is very, very disappointed with his reaction and we will sit down with him to make some decision on the charge," Lee told Sky Sports News.

"Frustration sometimes comes out. We want our players to keep it under control but these things happen in the heat of the moment.

"The player regrets what he has done."
