Doncaster have signed former Manchester City midfielder Abdul Razak on a short-term contract.

Razak joins Rovers from Greek club OFI Crete and has put pen to paper on a deal for the remainder of the season. Subject to international clearance, boss Paul Dickov hopes to include the 22-year-old in his squad for the League One game against Notts County at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night. The highly-rated Ivorian trained with his new team-mates on Monday and Dickov has been impressed. "The main thing was getting Abdul in the place, back training and back playing football," Dickov told local reporters at his pre-match press conference. "He's been keeping himself fit. I don't think fitness will be a problem for him. "Without putting too much pressure on Abdul, I believe we have got a really top player." Razak came through the youth set-up at Crystal Palace before joining Manchester City's development squad in 2010. He had loan spells with Portsmouth, Brighton and Charlton during his three-year stay at City. Stints at Anzhi Makhachkala and West Ham followed before a move to OFI Crete last summer.
