Nugent pleased by away form

Kevin Nugent was at a loss to explain the difference between Leyton Orient's home and away form following a 2-0 win at Doncaster.

Orient, who have struggled at home in contrast, won 2-0 against Doncaster as Darius Henderson hammered home a brilliant 25-yard shot from a difficult angle to add to Jay Simpson's first-half goal. Nugent said: "It's hard to explain. We've thrown a couple of games away but if we start to play with the same belief at home and the crowd get behind us then hopefully there will be a few more victories . "It was an exciting game and another great away performance. I'm very pleased because there were some big performances out there from the whole team. "I'm reluctant to pick players out because it was an absolutely great effort all round and a real collective display especially since we had a depleted squad. "Everyone did well and if we carry on like that we will keep climbing the table. "We had over 200 of our fans here and I was pleased for them more than anything that they had something to celebrate after making the journey up here." Doncaster manager Paul Dickov revealed he hoped to bring at least one player in on loan before Saturday's home game against MK Dons . He said " I'm disappointed with the result because after going behind early the players showed an appetite to get back in the match and we created more chances in the first half than we have in a lot of games this season. "But we just couldn't get the ball in the net and we only have ourselves to blame for going behind in the first place through sloppy defending. "The second goal was a great finish but we had chances to clear the ball before then. "I'm disappointed but we were a bit of a shambles at Fleetwood on Saturday and nobody could accuse us of not giving it a go tonight. "Things aren't going our way because we had an appeal for what was really a blatant penalty and it could also have been a sending-off offence which could have changed the game. "We just have to keep believing and try and turn it round."
