Doncaster midfielders Richie Wellens and Paul Keegan have agreed new contracts with the club.

Wellens will sign a two-year deal while Keegan will extend his stay at the Keepmoat Stadium by another three years. Rovers boss Paul Dickov expects the pair to put pen to paper on Thursday. Wellens has been free to talk to other clubs following Doncaster's relegation from the Championship last season, while Keegan is only on the short-term agreement he signed last month. Wellens was expected to leave before the summer transfer window closes on Monday but the 34-year-old made an unexpected appearance from the bench during the Capital One Cup win at Watford on Tuesday night. After the second-round tie, Dickov told reporters: "They're both going to sign new deals on Thursday. Paul has agreed a three-year deal and Richie has agreed a two-year contract, which is great news for us."
