Derby striker flattered by interest but not planning to leave

Derby striker Theo Robinson has admitted it is flattering to be linked with a number of clubs but says he will just keep focused on performing as well as he can for the Rams. The 23-year-old has impressed since joining Derby on a permanent deal from Millwall last summer, topping Derby's scoring charts with 12 goals for the campaign. He is thought to be attracting widespread interest, with clubs from the Premier League as well as the Championship perhaps set to test Derby's resolve. However, the Birmingham-born forward has told Sky Sports that he is concentrating on helping the Rams regroup for next season following their mid-table finish.

Learning a lot

"It is always nice to hear clubs linked with your name, but you can't really take too much notice of speculation," he said. "I'm just fully focused on performing and scoring goals for Derby County and hope to impress as each game goes by." Robinson has quickly established himself as Derby's leading striker and is keen to continue firing up front again next term. He said: "I have learnt so much from the manager and coaches here and I am keen to keep scoring goals and continue my development with them."
