Clark happy with stalemate

Huddersfield fell out of the promotion places after drawing 1-1 with rivals MK Dons but Town boss Lee Clark seems content with a point.

The Terriers went ahead in first-half stoppage-time when Jamie McCombe headed home Kallum Higginbotham's curling cross. The Dons levelled in the 62nd minute when Stephen Gleeson's free-kick from the left touchline eluded everyone and looped over goalkeeper Ian Bennett. Sheffield Wednesday replaced Huddersfield in second spot after beating Yeovil at Hillsborough, but Clark said: "You always want to win your home matches but we gave it our best shot. "We had periods in the second half where we were a bit ragged. (Goalkeeper) Ian Bennett didn't have many saves to make but MK Dons are a good footballing side who play the right way." Clark's team almost snatched victory in injury time when Jack Hunt's shot hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced down. The Town boss added: "It looked very close to me but I couldn't tell whether it was over the line or not."
