Walsall have lost the services of Mark Wilson after he was recalled from his loan spell by parent club Doncaster.

The midfielder only extended his stay at the Banks's Stadium on Friday having enjoyed a successful first month with the Saddlers.

But Wilson's start in Saturday's goalless draw at Stevenage has proved his last for the League One club due to Doncaster's growing injury crisis, which has forced the hand of boss Dean Saunders.

Wilson made a total of six starts for Walsall, scoring in their FA Cup first-round tie at Exeter.
